Dr. Riggs received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from California State University Fullerton in 1991. She received her Masters degree and Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology (with an emphasis on Multi-Cultural and Community Psychology) from CSPP-Los Angeles in 1997. Additionally, she completed the two year certification coursework for a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analysis) from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2018.
Dr. Riggs has worked with clients for over 20 years to help individuals empower themselves and achieve desired changes. Dr. Riggs believes in a direct, yet compassionate approach to therapy. She focuses on evidenced based therapies, self-care, mindfulness, and the individuals own personal and meaningful value system. She has experience working with children, teenagers and adults. She specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions and grief/loss issues. Dr. Riggs also specializes in working within the LGBTQ community. Additionally, she has extensive experience working with special need populations, including intellectual disabilities.
